On Monday, dated 15/12/2025, at the building of the Presidency of the University of Zakho, Prof. Dr. Diyar Abdulkarim Saeed, President of the University, and in the presence of Dr. Diyar Ahmed Blij, Dean of the College of Science, extended appreciation and gratitude to Ms. Samira Shukr Mohammed Amin, a faculty member of the Chemistry Department at the University of Zakho, in recognition of the Innovation Award she received in the United States of America.

 

It is worth mentioning that Ms. Samira succeeded in developing several environmentally friendly and safe nanomaterials, which can be utilized in the field of medical manufacturing. This achievement has been officially registered as an innovation with the United States Patent Office (US Patent), and accordingly, the Innovation Award was granted to the aforementioned faculty member.
